A fabulous double bill dance programme featuring the corps de ballet of the Opera Ballet-Théâtre de Metz Métropole from France. The music presents two very different facets of 20th century music: Chancel is inspired by the music of German-born British composer Max Ritcher, with post-minimalist melodic contours that evoke film music. The music for Spirall composed by Ruben Zahra portrays primordial rhythms combining primitive pulse with complex contemporary textures. Spirall is a coproduction in between Teatru Manoel and Opera Ballet-Théâtre de Metz Métropole, premiered at the Musée de la Cour d’Or on the 4th of December 2015.
