Reuben Pace started off his musical studies by learning to play baritone in B flat at the Siġġiewi St.Nicholas ‘Band club, Malta. At the age of twelve he started learning classical guitar under the tuition of Mrs. Charlotte Smith and at the age of 16 he sat for a Bachelor of Arts in Music at the University of Malta followed by a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education. He also studied conducting with Mro. Joseph Sammut and harmony and counterpoint with Mro. Laurence Borg. On September 2000 he left Malta for Bangor, North Wales where he sat for a Master of Arts in Creative Music Technology and Music for Film, Media and the Arts. He finished his Masters in September 2001 and then came back to Malta where for seven years he worked on a large number of music education publications. In the meantime he started a Phd in composition at the University of Bangor, Wales which he finished in September 2011. His music has also been performed in the UK by Ensemble Cymru, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, by Painting Music as well as the Duke String Quartet. He has also had performances in Malta and Russia. Pace composes in both the acoustic and electronic media.
